The Space Data Association has chosen GMV to develop its next generation Space Safety Portal, a safety of flight system designed to support mission critical operations. The new platform will extend SDA's role as an integration hub for global space traffic coordination by enabling agile capabilities and deeper collaboration with operators and SSA agencies.

The SSP will draw on sixteen years of SDA operational experience and incorporate emerging technologies, expanded space situational awareness data, and new concepts for coordination. The aim is to address risks from the rapidly rising satellite population in orbit and in launch pipelines while preserving data integrity and secure information sharing.

SDA selected GMV through a competitive process with multiple proposals. The company demonstrated leading technical, operational, customer focused, and cybersecurity credentials aligned with SDA's non profit model and long term commitment to space sustainability. GMV's track record spans key public STC efforts including EU SST and the U.S. Department of Commerce TraCSS.

"We are honoured to have been tasked with the development of a next generation service to deliver spaceflight safety for SDA and its community," said Felipe Jimenez Gonzalez, Head of Flight Dynamics at GMV. "Space safety is at the heart of what we do, and we will bring enhanced screening and conjunction assessment, improved data coverage and a very high level of customer support to SDA operators. We look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration built upon our shared goal of making space sustainable and safe today and tomorrow."

"SDA is thrilled to embark on this partnership with GMV," said Joe Chan, Chairman, SDA. "This represents a major leap forward in our collective mission to safeguard space operations through innovation, collaboration, and unmatched space traffic coordination capabilities. We are committed to the timely and smooth transition to this upgraded service for our space operators. On behalf of the SDA, I would also like to thank COMSPOC for all the support, innovation, and dedication to the Space Data Centre that they have demonstrated over the years."

Enhanced SSP services are planned to enter operations in early 2026.
