Astrobotic recently announced the addition of four seasoned space industry professionals to its team, enhancing its capabilities as the company gears up for its Griffin-1 lunar mission. The new hires include Steve Clarke as the Vice President of Landers and Spacecraft, specializing in lunar system development, and Frank Peri as the Director of Engineering, focusing on Griffin-1, with a wealth of experience in safety and mission assurance. Joining them are Jim Reuter and Michael Gazarik as advisors, bringing their extensive expertise in space technology and strategic insights to the forefront of Astrobotic's lunar exploration efforts.

John Thornton, CEO of Astrobotic, highlighted the significant experience and leadership the new members bring, stating, "These hires mark a pivotal moment in our journey towards a successful lunar landing. With a collective wealth of experience from NASA's aeronautics, science, and exploration missions, our team is stronger and more confident than ever in the future of our lunar lander program."

Steve Clarke, with 39 years of experience at NASA and a key role in the NASA CLPS initiative, is recognized for his contributions to lunar system development and has received both NASA's Exceptional Achievement Medal and the Presidential Rank Award. Frank Peri brings 35 years of experience in executive leadership, with a strong background in ensuring the safety and quality of complex space missions.

Jim Reuter and Michael Gazarik, both former Associate Administrators for NASA's Space Technology Mission Directorate, contribute their in-depth knowledge of space technologies and strategic planning to Astrobotic's advisory board. Their expertise will be crucial in advancing Astrobotic's innovative projects, such as the LunaGrid, and in navigating the company's future technological developments.

Thornton expressed enthusiasm about the team's expansion, stating, "The addition of Steve, Jim, Mike, and Frank is a testament to our commitment to leading the way in medium-class lunar deliveries with Griffin-1. Their leadership and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow and take on new challenges in lunar exploration."
