Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: RKLB) has reported the successful launch of its 45th Electron rocket, reinforcing its partnership with Synspective by deploying another critical satellite into Synspective's Earth-observation constellation. The mission, dubbed "Owl Night Long," saw the Electron rocket take off from Pad B at Rocket Lab's Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand, at 04:03 NZDT on March 13, 2024 (15:03 UTC, March 12). This launch was dedicated to placing the StriX-3 satellite into a 561km Sun Synchronous Orbit, thereby contributing to the expansion of Synspective's constellation.

Synspective, founded in 2018, stands at the forefront of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) technology, offering end-to-end satellite data and analytical solutions. The company aims to foster a world where enhanced data and cutting-edge technologies facilitate tangible advancements and learning opportunities. Synspective's SAR satellite constellation is designed for high-frequency and high-resolution Earth observation, offering data and solutions that integrate SAR with IoT data, machine learning, and data science techniques. This comprehensive approach enables Synspective to deliver unique insights and solutions across various sectors, contributing significantly to global development and sustainability efforts.

Rocket Lab's exclusive partnership with Synspective has been instrumental in deploying this innovative SAR satellite constellation, with previous launches in September 2022, February 2022, and December 2020. Looking ahead, Rocket Lab is committed to launching two more missions for Synspective, further solidifying their relationship and mutual dedication to advancing Earth observation capabilities.

The "Owl Night Long" mission not only highlights Rocket Lab's robust launch capabilities but also underscores the strategic significance of Synspective's growing SAR satellite constellation in providing reliable, high-resolution Earth observation data. As Rocket Lab prepares for its next mission scheduled for no earlier than March 20th, launching from Launch Complex 2 in Wallops, Virginia, for the National Reconnaissance Office, the company continues to demonstrate its growing role in the global aerospace industry.
