Maxar Technologies, a leading provider of comprehensive space solutions and secure, precise geospatial intelligence, has recently declared that its Precision3D data will be made available for visualization in Esri's ArcGIS Online Living Atlas of the World.

Esri, recognized worldwide for its pivotal role in location intelligence, will embed Maxar's Precision3D Digital Surface Model, Digital Terrain Model, along with Buildings and Vegetation vector data for ArcGIS users to access and analyze. This expansion of the partnership between the two companies further solidifies their commitment to advance geospatial technologies.

Maxar's Precision3D products, which boast a high resolution of 50 cm, maintain an impressive absolute accuracy of 3 m SE90 (Spherical Error 90%). Through a big data approach, Maxar cleverly blends its patented 3D algorithms with the planet's largest archive of high-quality commercial satellite imagery to create an authentic 3D representation of Earth.

This innovative product, Precision3D, will facilitate ArcGIS users in creating a digital twin - a highly accurate, virtual model that merges the physical and digital realms. This integration is aimed to enhance decision-making processes. Precision3D holds the title of being the highest resolution and most accurate 3D map of the world, making it critical for applications such as aligning datasets to our geospatial foundation, conducting digital simulations in urban environments, and designing comprehensive natural disaster response plans.

In addition to the integration of Precision3D, Maxar will make other geospatial products available in the ArcGIS Living Atlas:

Vivid Standard, which is a visually-consistent global imagery basemaps, built with high-resolution and high-accuracy Maxar satellite imagery. There's also Vivid Advanced, which further improves the quality of Vivid Standard's imagery over selected metropolitan areas by offering nearly cloud-free imagery basemaps.

NaturalVue 2.0, an innovative image mosaic product that ingeniously combines more than 60,000 Landsat 8 images to form a seamless, virtually cloud-free, 15-meter basemap that truly reflects the Earth's colors.

National Urban Change Indicator (NUCI), a unique commercial urban change detection product that brings to light areas of new construction activity by isolating persistent changes over time, derived from more than 13,000 Landsat images.

For those interested in experiencing Precision3D firsthand, Maxar will be showcasing a demo at the Esri User Conference, scheduled to take place between July 11-13, 2023, in San Diego, California, U.S. Attendees are encouraged to schedule a demo to gain a deeper understanding of how Precision3D can advance their geospatial projects.
