On March 30, 2023, at 18:50, the Long March 2D carrier rocket blasted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, successfully launching four satellites of Group 01 of Hongtu 1 into the predetermined orbit. The launch mission was a complete success.

The Long March 2D carrier rocket used in this launch mission is a normal-temperature liquid secondary carrier rocket developed by the General Manager of the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It has a 1.3-ton capacity with single-satellite and multi-satellite launch capabilities for different orbital requirements. The Hongtu-1 Group 01 satellites were developed by Yinhe Aerospace (Beijing) Network Technology Co., Ltd., and the user is Aerospace Hongtu Information Technology Co., Ltd.

According to sources, the Long March 2D carrier rocket is a reliable and cost-effective launch vehicle that has been widely used in China's commercial satellite launches. It has an excellent performance record, with a 100% success rate in all its launches, earning it a reputation as a "Gold Medal Rocket."

This mission is the first flight of Changerding after the Spring Festival, and the research and development team embarked on the journey of high-density launch with a full spirit. Faced with the current dual pressure of high density and short cycle time, Chang Erding firmly promoted de-modelization and de-task work, which effectively shortened the development process of Quanjian. By optimizing the overall rocket assembly, general measurement and launch site process, the model further shortened the time from engine delivery to rocket factory, and satellite launch site delivery to implementation. The working cycle of the launch effectively guaranteed the smooth implementation of the mission.

In order to meet the layout requirements of four satellites, the mission of this launch adopted a split-level parallel layout for the first time, which greatly improved the space utilization rate in the fairing. In addition, the model has carried out multiple rounds of iterative optimization for dynamic characteristics, satellite-rocket joint operation, separation safety, etc., to ensure the safe entry of the satellite into orbit.

This launch is the 75th launch of the Long March 2D carrier rocket, the 184th flight test of the Long March series of carrier rockets developed by the Eighth Academy, and the 469th launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets.

According to a statement from the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, this launch marks another successful step in the country's efforts to build a more comprehensive and efficient commercial aerospace industry, showcasing the country's strengths in science and technology, as well as the professionalism and dedication of its aerospace personnel.

The successful launch of these satellites is expected to bring significant benefits to China's telecommunications, meteorology, and remote sensing industries, as well as contributing to the country's overall economic and technological development. The Hongtu-1 Group 01 satellites are equipped with advanced communication, observation, and imaging technologies, enabling them to provide high-quality services to users in various fields.

According to Zhang Yuliang, General Manager of the Eighth Academy, the successful launch of the Long March 2D carrier rocket once again demonstrates China's leading position in the commercial space industry. He said, "We will continue to promote technological innovation and product upgrades, to provide more reliable and efficient launch services for domestic and foreign users, and to make new contributions to China's space industry development."
