Dauria Aerospace

Dauria Aerospace is a satellite manufacturer. It manufactures low cost small satellites.

The reduction of costs combined with enhanced performance capabilities makes constellations of satellites financially viable, thus enabling operational services and creating new applications. The company currently (Oct 2013) has two satellite development centers:

  • in Skolkovo, Moscow
  • in NASA Ames Research Center, California

Dauria, which is headquartered in Munich, is part of the space cluster at the Skolkovo Innovation Center on the outskirts of Moscow.

Satrec Initiative (SI)

Satrec Initiative (SI) is a satellite manufacturer offering proposing platforms for Earth observation missions, offering customers worldwide turnkey satellite platforms, electro-optical instruments, ground systems and components.

SI provides solutions for Earth observation missions and applications. SI activities cover the whole spectrum for Earth observation missions including spacecraft bus, Earth observation payload, communication equipment and satellite image receiving and processing system.

SI also provides technical consulting and engineering support from multi-disciplinary and highly experienced engineers and scientists.

SI was founded in 1999.

Space Systems/Loral

Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) is one of the world's largest designers and manufacturers of satellites and satellite systems for commercial and government users.

Since the advent of the space age more than 50 years ago, SS/L has developed state-of-the-art spacecraft for applications that include satellite services, television broadcasting, direct-to-home (DTH) television services, broadband communications, military communications, wireless telephony, digital satellite radio, weather monitoring and air traffic management. SS/L is located in Palo Alto, Calif., USA.

In Nov. 2012, SS/L was acquired by MDA

Mitsubishi Electric Corp.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is a Japanese multinational electronics and electrical equipments manufacturing company headquartered inTokyo, Japan. It is one of the core companies of the Mitsubishi Group.

Mitsubishi Electric manufacture electric and architectural equipment. It is as well as a major worldwide producer of photovoltaic panels. The Corporation was established on 15 January 1921.

Mitsubishi Electric's space technology includes the production and implementation of satellites, satellite components, and ground systems. Also, Mitsubishi Electric is the only company in Japan that can manufacture satellites from designing to assembling and testing. Mitsubishi Electric own satellite production facilities including a space chamber, antenna test range, acoustic chamber, and vibration table. As well Mitsubishi Electric excel in the solar array panel, heat pipe panel, Li-ion battery, and ground station system technologies that make satellites practical to own and operate.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is an Operating Division of the Boeing Company responsible for defense and aerospace products and services. It was formerly known as Boeing Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). BDS combines manned and unmanned airborne capabilities, intelligence and security systems, communications architectures and extensive large-scale integration expertise across several diverse business areas.

BDS makes Boeing the third largest defense contractor in the world and is responsible for 51% of the company's income in 2008. BDS is based in Berkeley, Missouri, near the city of St. Louis.
