Copernical.com is rapidly growing, and we need an experienced, passionate, and hardworking website technical content author who can enrich our networking site with articles, comments and blogs on technical and commercial subjects in the space industry and take our site to the next level.

The Technical Content Writer will create and write; technical content, including forum posts, blogs, articles and comments on space industry topics in the space segment, ground segment, space science, launchers, space commercialisation and space business news domains. The ideal candidate will be able to take a concept and use their creative abilities to bring that concept to life.

This role includes coordination with the internal Community Management team to support its mission, ensuring an informative, current and accurate source of information on all matters related to the space industry.  It also includes promoting excellent customer service and helping to cultivate a strong community around the brand and community.

We hope to find someone we can work with on a long term basis and will grow with us as the site matures

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for creating technical articles about space technology, science and business to stimulate constructive discussions and debate on the website and post on its news feed, forum and blogs. 

You will be working as part of a small team operating remotely across the world in a very strong entrepreneurial context.  You will have robust and reliable local internet connectivity and IT equipment to carry the functions of this job.  The environment is Joomla based within a dynamic growth environment with exposure to new technologies.

The following tasks will be carried out:

  • The ideal candidate will combine a passion for writing engaging technical and/or commercial content, participating in online communities with a keen interest in the space industry.
  • You will have a strong expertise in one or more of the following space industry domains; space segment, ground segment, launchers, operations, space applications, space science and space business.
  • Your articles will be independent and unbiased and designed to encourage constrictive community discussion. Articles will range from detailed highly technical papers through to general discussion papers.
  • Articles will be based on a variety of reliable sources and will make accurate references, acknowledgements and citations where appropriate.
  • You will engage constructively and politely with other users within the forum and comment sections of your articles and articles of other authors/users.
  • You will aim to stimulate constructive discussion on topical subjects.
  • You will write articles that are engaging accurate and structured to accommodate the audience.
  • You will clearly set out any conflict of interest that you may have in any article that you write, i.e. whether you have any significant beneficial interest in any opinion that you publish.
